I release soon Python4MAMP 3.1
- Python 2.7.3
- Mod_WSGI 3.4
- MySQLdb-python 1.2.3
- Django 1.4.3
- Python Image Library 1.1.7
- Subversion 1.7.8
- Trac 0.12.5 (support many SVN repos)
- VECT improved
This new release works with Lion and Mountain Lion, not tested on Snow Leopard.
Python is still 2.7.x cause many libraries are using Python 2.7 (not yet Python 3.3). 
But users, let me know if Python should be better for you.

SPMPT 3.0b1 : Python, Django, Subversion on Mac with MAMP 2.0

I'm proud to announce, the first SPMPT 3.0 beta is working on Snow Leopard.

What's new
- Python 2.7.2
- Subversion 1.6.16
- Django 1.3
- mod_python REMOVED
- mod_wsgi 3.3
- 32bit and 64bit (intel only)
- PPC support REMOVED
- working with MAMP 2.0

SPMPT 2.1 is out ! Spotlight on Python for MAMP

Hi !
I'm proud to announce that SPMPT 2.1 is now out.
This new release provide many new features. I think the Python programmers will enjoy this new release. It's now easy for any Python programmers to setup environment on Mac with MAMP and SPMPT.
This new version is shipped with MySQLdb-py which permit to Python programmers to connect to MySQL DBMS and use the Django framework on Mac.

The second major new feature is mod_wsgi. Mod_wsgi will replace mod_python, for now, SPMPT 2.1 is shipped with both mod_python and mod_wsgi. So you can change to mod_wsgi freely, with no contraints.

As usual, all components has been updated :
- python 2.6.4 -> 2.6.6
- trac 0.11.6 -> 0.12.2
- subversion 1.6.9 -> 1.6.12
- mod_python 3.3.1 (deprecated)
- mod_wsgi 3.3 (NEW)
- MySQLdb-py 1.2.3 (NEW)
- Django 1.2.5 (NEW)

What's next ?
- PostgreSQL 9 is working on beta release in my labs, So if you are interested, let me know.
- Python 2.7 and Python 3.2 so which are you waiting ?
- Subversion should be updated to the latest available

SPMPT 2.0 coming very soon ! (Trac 0.11.6, MAMP 1.8.x and Snow Leopard support)

Hello everyone !
I'm proud to anounce a new release 2.0 is coming very soon !
What's new in this new release ?
- add support of MAMP 1.8.4 (support of 1.7.2 is removed, but SPMPT 1.7.2 still available)
- update to Trac 0.11.6
- update Subversion to 1.6.9
- add support of Snow Leopard 10.6 (and Leopard 10.5, but not Tiger 10.4)
- update to Python 2.6.4

It's the easier wait to get a versioning environment, with a subversion server on your Mac.

I know many people are waiting this new release since 1 month, thank you for your patience.
People who buy SPMPT will see this new version in there own download folder.

I'm happy to present my first package of SVN (subversion) 1.5.2 for MAMP 1.7, this package is easy to use. follow 3 steps and SVN will be installed inside your MAMP folder (/Applications/MAMP/)

Now, i'm working for full integration of Trac and Python (plus mod_python) for MAMP.
I get it working on my test machine, I will package it soon.
The easier way to get a subversion server on mac !
